OBSERVER/MEDIA Program

The Bass Angler Magazine Super 60 Pro Tour is the highest level of professional bass fishing tournaments.

The pro anglers compete all season to earn points toward the Angler of the Year award and to qualify for the 200K Championship.

Here is your chance to reduce your learning curve by investing in yourself and gaining experience by observing the top professional anglers while they battle against the clock in a high-stakes, high stress tournament environment.

Media personnel can gain insight for future news articles, develop content, and media opportunities. Learn about electronics, innovative techniques, rod, reel, bait rigging, approach, mindset, boat rigging and more from the highest-level anglers.

OBSERVER/MEDIA PERSONNEL GUIDELINES

What is your role:

  • Officials must be 16 years or older.
  • You will assist us by enhancing our online experience with our social media platforms for BAM TRAIL SUPER 60.
  • BLOG for BAM TRAIL SUPER 60
  • Wear official observer clothing if provided.
  • Potentially operate a scale issued by BAM TRAIL SUPER 60.
  • Assist with safety of the boat.
  • Learn from some of the greatest anglers.
  • You will help protect the integrity of our tournaments and anglers.
  • Be willing to take part in the day’s activities for the angler you are paired with.
  • Ability to provide blogs and photos of the angler’s day.
  • Be proactive and engaging with your BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 angler.
  • A complete understanding of the rules.
  • Verify, confront, and question any rules infractions. We rely on you to help us provide a transparent competition platform and a fair playing field.

Expectations:

  • Observers are expected to be on time and ready to go no less than 30 minutes prior to blast off. If for some reason you are unable to arrive on time, please let the tournament director know as soon as possible so we can find a replacement.
  • As observer/media you are not allowed to share ANY information about the lake, techniques, advice, or information you gained personally or another angler with any BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 Pro. This information could consist of helping them locate or catch bass on tournament waters or navigate fishing areas.
  • Except to help with loading or unloading boats from trailers observers/media are not allowed to help the BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 Pros in any way. This includes operating boats; however, you may help in case of an emergency or with permission from Tournament Officials. In the event of an emergency, call 911 first, then notify tournament officials.
  • BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 Pros and observer/media may leave the boat and seek shelter in severe weather where danger may be imminent or for needed restroom breaks.
  • You must bring your own foul weather gear, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, snacks, and food. Please speak to your pro on expectations.
  • BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 Pros must make one dry storage compartment available and have ample space for food and drinks.
  • In the interest of safety, comfort and fit, you must bring your own Coast Guard approved, chest type PFD.
  • No alcohol or drugs are allowed in the boat.
  • No tournament trail logos other than BAM TRAIL SUPER 60, may be worn or displayed by the observer/media.
  • You cannot use cell phones or GPS units for the purpose of tracking (except when instructed to do so by BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 officials).
  • The use of photo cameras, cell phone cameras, tablets, or GoPro to capture media is encouraged.
  • All registered observer/media are guaranteed to go out on Days 3.

  • Please contact BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 office with any specific requests.
  • BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 observer/media registration and briefing will be Sunday Morning.
  • Any candidate for observer/media personnel who, in the judgment of the Tournament Director, is compromised in such a manner as to unfairly hinder their partner or endanger the safety and well-being of their partner or themselves may not be eligible. If in doubt, please contact the BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 tournament department.
  • You must let tournament officials know during onsite registration if you are traveling with a BAM TRAIL SUPER 60 Pro.
